A Day to Celebrate Community

A DAY TO CELEBRATE COMMUNITY
On Wednesday, May 27th, St. Paul’s Hospital will host the 23rd Annual Community Day celebrations on its front lawn.

It is anticipated that more than 650 children from surrounding community elementary schools will gather at St. Paul’s Hospital for a day of fun and friendship. St. Paul’s Hospital is an independently owned, faith-based Hospital that delivers compassionate and holistic medical care in an atmosphere that is welcoming to community and family.

“This is a day for St. Paul’s Hospital to focus on fun with our neighbourhood children,” says Jean Morrison, President and CEO of St. Paul’s Hospital. “We follow the example set for us by our Hospital’s founding Grey Nuns in welcoming all people from our community into our extended family. This is a wonderful day for everyone involved and furthers our vision of a community of health, hope and compassion for all.”

We are grateful for the support of several local entertainers, neighbouring businesses and service agencies who come together to entertain, sponsor activities, and provide balloons, goodie bags, lunch and mascots for the children. Thank you to local performers Kenni the Clown, Parob Poet, Danica Lorer and Princess Alexandra Pow Wow Dancers. Activities also include basketball, a bean bag toss, face painting by SCYAP, the Mendel Art Caravan, as well as the highly popular tours of Saskatoon Police Services and Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services tours of their vehicles.
