$1.97 Million Renovations for SPH 4th Floor

$1.97 million raised through the generosity of donors for St. Paul’s Foundation Embracing the Future campaign have enabled exciting renovation work to begin on the 4th floor B-wing of St. Paul’s Hospital, with the project on schedule for completion August, 2012.

The new state-of-the-art 18 bed unit, part of the Leslie and Irene Dubé Urology Centre of Health, will meet all current standards for safety and infection control while including wheelchair accessible washrooms and patient lifts. The unit will also incorporate lean principles, reducing the number of unnecessary steps and movements by caregivers.

This project funded by St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation and the Ministry of Health, supports the Saskatchewan surgical initiative, which has an ultimate goal that by 2014, no patient in our province will wait longer than three months for surgery.
