Hospital Values Community Health and Well-being

St. Paul’s Hospital welcomes more than 650 children and families from the surrounding community to attend the 25th Annual Community Day celebrations on its front lawn on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
As an independently owned, faith-based Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital delivers compassionate and holistic medical care in atmosphere that is welcoming to community and family. “We follow the example of our Hospital’s founders – the Grey Nuns in welcoming community and family as part of our holistic healing mission,” says Jean Morrison, President and CEO of St. Paul’s Hospital. “This is a wonderful celebration that happens each year, bringing our community together as we work to achieve our vision for a community of health, hope and compassion for all.”
This year’s festivities include several local entertainers, neighbouring businesses and service agencies who come together to entertain, sponsor activities, and provide goodie bags, lunch and mascots for the children. We are very grateful to all those who volunteer and sponsor the event. Thank you to local performers Kenni the Clown and The Super Ron Show. Activities also include basketball and bean bag toss, face painting by SCYAP, the Remai Modern Art Caravan, as well as the highly popular tours of Saskatoon Police Services, MD Ambulance and Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services vehicles.

Community Day Facts:
- Over 100 volunteers from St. Paul’s Hospital and other sites within the Saskatoon Health Region, as well as high school students from Tommy Douglas Collegiate, the SPH Board and community sponsors come together to make this happen.
- Over 2500 hot dogs, buns and popsicles have been ordered in preparation for the event.
- All the food has been donated by generous sponsors, including; hot dogs, apples, oranges, bottled water and popsicles.
- Over 21 local organizations and businesses support this event.
