St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation requires a permanent, full-time Manager of Communications and Stewardship. This position is responsible for the development and management of all stewardship and communications activities at St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation. This includes donor-centered stewardship, organizational branding, marketing, public relations and development of fundraising materials in support of SPH Foundation’s strategic directives.
Duties & responsibilities
Management of the Foundation’s brand and branding initiatives;
Development of public relations materials such as speaking notes and presentations;
Media Relations including media liaison, media monitoring, and writing materials for the media such a press releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, public service announcements and securing earned media;
Development and management of marketing strategies and initiatives including advertising and promotions;
Timely development of accurate, compelling and well-researched fundraising materials such as case statements, cases for support, proceeds statements, grant applications, fundraising campaign materials, stewardship letters, thank you letters and other fundraising materials as required;
Project management, content production and distribution of marketing and public relations publications including the Annual Review, websites, social media channels;
Support Foundation operations in production of materials such as letterhead, envelopes, memorial cards, invitations, posters etc.;
Manage of relationships with internal and external communication contractors and suppliers;
Stewardship and Stakeholders Relations:
Responsible for deepening donor and volunteer relationships through donor stewardship and recognition activities in collaboration with Development Team;
Develop strong relationships with St. Paul’s Hospital leadership, staff and physicians, Hospice at Glengarda partners and representatives of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA);
Project management, content production and distribution of donor-centric stewardship publications such as the Spirit Newsletter and Kindred Spirit eReport.
Develop and manage the Communications and Stewardship annual business plan and budget;
Management and supervision of Communications and Stewardship Officer;
Oversee generation of probable donor lists, database lists and other database work as required (Raiser’s Edge);
Other duties as required.
An undergraduate degree in communications, journalism or public relations.
A minimum of three years of experience working in a communication or fund raising environment is required. Professional membership in AFP, IABC or CPRS would be an asset.
Ability to commence initiatives and to function under minimal supervision; innovative and creativity; ability to maintain confidentiality; excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and leadership skills.
$55,909 - $83,864 annually (Pay band 5) plus an attractive benefits package.
